Diabetic Macular Edema and its Management: Ophthalmology & Optometry Information Guide
A$0.00
Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) is a condition that happens when there is swelling in the central part of the retina, which is the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. The macula is the area of the retina responsible for sharp, detailed vision, like reading or recognising faces. DME can worsen over time if left untreated, and without intervention, it can lead to permanent vision loss.
